Playing Pokémon Go but don't know what PokéStops and Gyms are near your location? This small application can give you insight as to where nearby stops and gyms are in relation to your location. This application does not use data from Niantic. Instead it utilizes user inputted data (crowd sourced) plotted out on our Google Map which can be found at www.pokemon-go-maps.com
We encourage users to plot out PokéStops and Gyms on the Google Map in their area so that others can find them. We started this map in Evansville, Indiana and hope it grows quickly to help players across the USA. If right now you do not see any plotted points on this overlay application, don't be discouraged and plot the ones you know of on our Google Map.
When activated a button will appear on the side of your screen. Tap the button to start the map overlay. Long press to kill the application. Your back arrow soft key will hide the map but leave the button there.
Currently the application sends us your location. Location info is simply to see where people are using our application. It's send to a spreadsheet which is saved in Google Drive. This data is temporary until we grow to a national level on our Google Map.
Built in Tasker for Android, this is a very simple application built by an amateur. Constructive criticism is encouraged so that we may make the experience a great one for everyone.
Remember, plot those data points on our Google Map! We hope that you find this tool informative and helpful.
